This assertive oil-free marinade is also good for pork or chicken.
Diet Type: Low Fat
Ingredients:
  • 2 limes
  • 1 orange
  • 1 inch fresh peeled Ginger Root
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Tamari
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 pound top round steak
  • Serves: 4
    Cooking Time: Over one hour
    Instructions:
    Peel rind from limes and orange; place in food processor or blender. Slice Ginger Root and add to processor. Process until finely chopped, about 1 minute. Sueeze juice from limes and orange; mix with water, Tamari and brown sugar. Stir in chopped lime and orange peel. Pour over steak and marinate at least 4 hours or overnight. Prepare grill or broiler and cook to desired doneness, basting with marinade while grilling.
